Dear Sally
Home again, with many happy memories of Bakewell, Chatsworth
and of course Over Haddon and Lathkill! Thank you so much for
giving us such an interesting time on Friday morning, and providing
us with a walk that was so well-suited to our pace. You were an
excellent guide and we enjoyed your company very much.
As so often happens, having never heard of the White and Dark
Peak, or well-dressing, there is an article in the paper today
mentioning both of these features that you told us about!
I'm sure our next visit to the Peak District will not be too
far away, and we will contact you again please!
Best wishes
John and Sue Bruce-Ball
Just wanted to drop you a note to say a massive thanks for all your hard
work and efforts on Saturday. We had a super time and the lunch was
incredible.
Many thanks again and if we are ever in the peak district again we will
be sure to look you up
Thanks
Kellie
Just wanted to thank you for
a perfect day yesterday, it surpassed my expectations completely with
the beautiful scenery, your snippets of information & interesting
stories and of course a wonderful picnic - the only regret was not
having room to eat more!
People were still talking about what a great experience it was this
morning - I will certainly be recommending you to others & have left
your contact details at the house for other parties - hope that's ok.

We would say don't hesitate to go on a walk with Sally, she took us to
lathkill dale and along the manifold. We have seen so much more than if
we went by ourselves, Sallys local knowledge and snipits of info meant
we could go places we wouldn't have tried by ourselves. We had a great
time and we're coming back again next year.
All the best Sally look forward to walking with you again!

Dear Sally,
i've only just remembered about your website and have just had a look at
it, it's brilliant. i'll certainly be joining one of your walks late
April (i can't before as i'll be in France).
i also wanted to say thanks again for that great day on Saturday. i
enjoyed everything, the great views, your invaluable knowledge of the
area, the delicious buffet (i can't believe how welcome we felt thanks
to you and your family especially your granddaughter!)...
i'd recommend going with you to anyone, it's an experience to cherish a
lifetime!

Hi Sally,
just a quick note to say 'thanks very much' for a really enjoybale walk
on Saturday (28th April) over the High Peak trail. Thanks too to your
sister Jackie for a really divine picnic full of home made goodies! Good
luck x
Teresa
Hi Sally. Thanks
again for two very enjoyable & informative walks including the fab
picnic (highly recommended). I did manage to find my way to the Goyt
Valley and had a lovely walk. I was the only car in the Pym Chair car
park to start off with and only met 6 or 7 people during 3 hours of
walking even though it was a sunny day. Thanks for the recommendation.
Take care Graham
Dear Sally and
Alfie,
Many thanks for the introduction to the other side of the Peak. The walk
was fantastic and Sally's local knowledge amazingly detailed. We really
enjoyed the experience, especially the well deserved scones and bakewell
pudding!
Thanks again Tom and Fiona
thank you so much
for the guided walk last week, we really enjoyed the fresh air of
derbyshire and to hear all of the interesting points you raised along
the way. See you soon for another ramble and maybe picnic next month.
Love to alfie! xx SUE AND BOB

Dear Sally
Everybody told me how much they had enjoyed being with you, not
just for the wonderful scenery of the Peak National Park, but
also for your local titbits of gossip and information!
We
had an excellent snack lunch at the Lathkil Hotel looking out
over the lovely countryside, and the staff at the hotel were
really kind and helpful. What a spread they had on the table
when we went in! No wonder they're popular if this is what
they put on every day for visitors in the walking season. I
was quite sorry not to be able to tuck in but we were getting a
three-course dinner that evening at Shrigley Hall so I had to
rein myself back!
Anyway, my sincere thanks once again, Sally, for helping to make
our week so enjoyable, and I wish you luck for the coming season
with lots of clients and long days of sunshine!
Best regards

The result of the vote for the whole day was a maximum score for you -
well done and many thanks.
The hotel was very good value - service and the food could not have been
any better.
Really good to meet up with you again and happy that you both made and
enjoyed sharing in what turned out to be a special day for the lads.
Think that we also left the southerners with a grand Chatsworth memory.
They left Bakewell with puddings and the odd ache but that's what it's
all about.

Hi, I'd just like to say I have taken advantage of Sally's undisputable
knowledge of the Peak District - an area she clearly loves - several
times now. Each time I have nothing but praise for her.
If you want to see the Peak District, I believe being guided by Sally
is the only way to do it!
Thank you.
Katie p.s.The picnic's are pretty amazing too!
Terrific walk Sally, it was a lovely varied route you had chosen for us.

Dear Alfie,
I'm usually quite scared of dogs would you believe, you are such a
friendly dog I forgot about it straight away. Thank you for helping me
up the steps when I felt tired. You were such a great addition to the

Hi Sally,
On behalf of myself and my two friends Ian and Frank, a short note to
thank you for a great Peak Advertiser walk on Sunday. Please pass on our

See you soon, Mel Clarke (Peak Advertiser)

A fantastic day out, all 6 of us could not stop talking about the
day. More to the point Sally is such a wonderful lady even though it was
raining and muddy Sally made everything seem easy and pleasurable. We
will all remember our time and and im sure we will visit the peak
district more often. Thanks again sally. Kal |
